We combine patent quality dynamics and patent quantity dynamics with machine-learning techniques for an index-based company comparison. Our new dynamic patent technology indicator (DynaPTI) provides precise and up-to-date assessments about company-level innovation activities. In "Wirtschaftsdienst", the journal for economic policy, EconSight together with the Bertelsmann Foundation presented our new technology approach. Instead of the classic measurement of innovation capability based on patent applications, our new world-class approach focuses on technology-specific patent quality.
